About the Role The EU Promotions team is the engine room of Wayfair’s growth in Europe. We don’t just "run sales"; we own the commercial strategy and operational execution for every campaign and offer on the UK and Ireland sites, driving the vast majority of revenue for both Stores.
As the Special Offers Associate, you own some of the most agile levers in our toolkit. You will own the lifecycle of high-velocity promotions like Flash Deals, Promo Codes, and Deal of the Day. You will also have the leeway to innovate new types of offers that help drive customer engagement, build lifetime value, and increase sales volume for both Wayfair and our suppliers.
Beyond daily execution, you will be the lead architect for our "Special Offers" roadmap—scoping and launching new-to-EU capabilities like bundles, rebates, and coupons in collaboration with our global engineering and product teams.
What You’ll Do
  • Execute the Core (Daily Deals & Codes): Own the end-to-end lifecycle of Flash Deals (FD), Deal of the Day (DotD), and Promo Codes. This includes curation logic, pricing validation, and technical setup in proprietary tools (Rainmaker, NEM).
  • Scope the Future (New Offers): Lead the discovery and planning for new promotional types (e.g., product bundles, manufacturer rebates, coupons). You’ll work with North American counterparts to "import" best practices while tailoring them for the UK/IE markets.
  • Global & Cross-Functional Liaison: Act as the primary bridge between:
  • Shanghai & NA: Partnering with tech and promo teams to influence global roadmaps.
  • CMUK & Supplier Marketing: Helping category managers identify the best products for curated offers.
  • Onsite & Email Teams: Ensuring our offers are surfaced effectively across all customer touchpoints.
  • Analytical Triage: Partner with Promo Analysts to track key performance metrics, and leverage the data to improve and innovate on processes and new offerings.
  • Monitor and assess the performance of promotional offers in each market, identify trends (incl. market developments, customer behavior, and competitor activities), and generate data-driven insights to refine and enhance future campaigns.

  • Commercially Curious: You understand the Wayfair "Recipe." You care about why a certain product is a "Deal of the Day" and how that impacts our overall margin and customer loyalty.
  • The "Glue" Communicator: You can navigate a global organization. You know how to ask the right questions to a developer in Shanghai, a category manager in London, and a leader in Boston to get a project across the finish line.
  • Strategic Scoper: You aren't just a "doer." When tasked with a new project like "Rebates," you can apply first-principles thinking to define the requirements, identify trade-offs, and build a project plan from scratch.
  • Tactical Specialist: You have the "patience for the process." You can master complex internal tools and have an eagle eye for QA to ensure millions of customers see the right price at the right time.
What You'll Need
  • Experience in e-commerce, consulting, or a fast-moving startup environment.
  • Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s in a quantitative or business field (Math, Econ, Engineering, etc.).
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams with high stakes and tight deadlines.
  • Analytical Foundations: Advanced Excel is a must (Pivots, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data cleaning). SQL/GBQ knowledge is a major advantage for self-serving data.
  • An Ownership Mindset : Ability to thrive in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment with a bias for action and a “get stuff done” attitude, while maintaining a customer-lense (e.g., understand what a good customer experience looks like)
Why This Role? You are joining a high-visibility, high impact team. You will manage the "now" (Flash Deals, Deals of the Day, Promo Codes) while building the "next" (Bundles/Rebates), giving you a unique 360-degree view of how a multi-billion dollar e-commerce engine actually runs.
