<br><br><p><b>House Project Manager – Children Services – Croydon Council </b> </p><p>Salary: Grade 14 £51,522 - £53,607 </p><p>Fixed Term (until December 2026) – 36 hours per week </p><p>Hybrid working </p><p><b>Job Purpose </b> </p><p>The House Project Manager role will lead and deliver a comprehensive programme of assessment, review and support for young people leaving care. Supervising facilitators in the team to provide individual and group sessions to meet the diverse needs of young people. The project aims to prepare and support young people leaving care to move into their first home well equipped with the requisite skills and provide continued access post move-in to ensure they can sustain their home and engage in education, employment and training and enjoy living in their community. You will have daily oversight of the project managing two facilitators whilst working relationally with the young people that you will support to develop the house project. </p><p>The project will work in collaboration with our cared for and leaving care teams and you will also build relationships with housing partners and other services who can support our care experienced young people. </p><p>A key emphasis for this project is working with the young people to determine the approach and delivery of the programme to achieve their aim of moving into their own home and working with the project to sustain their home and develop their wellbeing and economic circumstances. </p><p><b>About You </b> </p><p>Social Work Qualification, Youth Work Qualification or Teaching Qualification PGCE. </p><p>Working knowledge of national policy and developments regarding children’s social care, and policy areas that impact on children’s social care. </p><p>Demonstratable working knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, standards and procedures. </p><p>Substantial experience of working with young people in need in a social work, youth work or teaching environment. Demonstrable experience of project development and leadership in a similar role or environment. Considerable experience of liaising and promoting partnership relationships to promote the best opportunities and outcomes for young people.
