We've hit product-market fit and are scaling aggressively across multiple markets. <h2>The Role</h2> We're looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join our small, growing Platform team and help scale our infrastructure across multiple markets. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you'll own critical cloud infrastructure serving hundreds of thousands of users across Southeast Asia and Africa. You'll be part of the Platform squad — responsible for platform-level infrastructure, shared services, observability, and security tooling. We're in the middle of a major infrastructure maturity push: closing IaC gaps, hardening CI/CD, improving observability, and preparing our platform for rapid expansion across multiple markets in Southeast Asia and Africa. This isn't a role where you maintain dashboards. You'll architect, build, and operate the infrastructure that powers a high-growth fintech with high-throughput production systems. <h2>What You'll Do</h2> <ul> <li>Own and operate cloud infrastructure — compute, networking, identity, and security controls — using Infrastructure-as-Code</li> <li>Manage container orchestration workloads, including cluster upgrades, deployment management, and autoscaling</li> <li>Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines — automated testing, deployment automation, and quality gates</li> <li>Drive observability — implement and improve monitoring, alerting, logging, and tracing across all services</li> <li>Harden security posture — cloud security posture management, automated scanning in CI, access policies, network security, and contributing toward industry security certifications</li> <li>Manage multi-cloud infrastructure — we run workloads across multiple cloud providers</li> <li>Operate messaging infrastructure — event-driven architectures, including retry strategies and dead-letter queue management</li> <li>Standardize market launches — build repeatable infrastructure provisioning so new markets can go live in days, not weeks</li> <li>Support the engineering team — be the go-to person for infrastructure questions, unblock developers, and create self-service tooling</li> <li>Participate in on-call rotation — respond to production incidents and drive root-cause analysis and prevention</li> </ul> <h2>Must-Have Experience</h2> <ul> <li>5+ years in a DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering role</li> <li>Strong cloud infrastructure expertise — compute, networking, identity management, queuing, monitoring, storage, and databases (we use AWS primarily)</li> <li>Container orchestration in production — cluster operations, package management, debugging, resource management (we use Kubernetes)</li> <li>Infrastructure-as-Code at scale — writing, reviewing, and managing IaC with proper state management and modularization (we use Terraform)</li> <li>CI/CD pipeline design — deployment automation, testing integration, and deployment strategies (blue-green, canary)</li> <li>Linux systems administration — comfortable debugging at the OS level</li> <li>Monitoring and observability — setting up alerting, dashboards, log aggregation, and incident response</li> <li>Security mindset — experience with access control best practices, network security, secrets management</li> <li>Strong communication — able to explain infrastructure decisions to non-infra engineers</li> <li>Reliable internet and hardware, able to work ≥40h/week with decent overlap with UTC+8 (Singapore time)</li> </ul> <h2>Nice-to-Have</h2> <ul> <li>Multi-cloud experience (GCP, Firebase, or similar alongside AWS)</li> <li>GitOps deployment experience (e.g. ArgoCD or similar)</li> <li>Event streaming operations and tuning (e.g. Kafka)</li> <li>Compliance frameworks — ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similar</li> <li>Cost optimization — experience reducing cloud spend without sacrificing reliability</li> <li>Pen testing coordination or security audit experience</li> <li>Experience at a fintech or financial services company</li> <li>Experience with multi-region or multi-market infrastructure</li> </ul> <h2>What We Use Today</h2> Here's what we work with today — familiarity is a bonus, not a requirement: <ul> <li>Cloud: AWS (primary) + GCP/Firebase</li> <li>Orchestration: Kubernetes (EKS), Helm, ArgoCD</li> <li>IaC: Terraform</li> <li>CI/CD: GitHub Actions</li> <li>Messaging: Kafka, SQS</li> <li>Monitoring: Grafana, Sentry, CloudWatch</li> <li>Security: Prowler, Trivy, SonarCloud, Cloudflare WAF</li> <li>Backend: Node.js/TypeScript, Python, PHP</li> <li>Frontend: Angular, Ionic/Capacitor</li> </ul> <h2>Why Join</h2> <ul> <li>Real ownership — you'll shape the infrastructure of a company scaling across continents</li> <li>Small team, big impact — a growing platform team, no layers of bureaucracy</li> <li>Growth trajectory — rapidly expanding across Southeast Asia and Africa</li> <li>Modern stack — container orchestration, IaC, GitOps, event-driven architecture</li> <li>Fully remote — work from anywhere with good overlap to Asia timezones #EMEA #APJ</li> <li>Competitive salary + meaningful equity (early-stage package)</li> </ul>
