Tooling Engineer

Tooling Engineer:

  • Participate in new project initiating meeting, 3D evaluation meeting, processing evaluation meeting, mould test review meeting (when necessary) and other related meeting.
  • Arrange mould processing node according to project T0 period.
  • Arrange “Tooling Schedule”, provide diagram of progress rate according to customer requirements.
  • Improve strategy review for mould test, formulate mould modification plan, provide mould repair instruction (issue) sample and mould repair information.
  • Filing management in timely manner, according to mould test schedule, notify and participate in on site mould test (include new mould/modified mould/customer change, etc.), record problem points of mould test.
  • Mould status statistics and maintaining SAP system.
  • Assist in outsource mould test product verification, mould inspection.
  • Follow-up transfer of mould inspection, and provide related information of mould transfer.
  • Liaise with injection engineering department on orders of mould in production and follow-up to execute mould repair.
  • Collect problem points of mould, conclude improve strategy, increase engineering skills.
  • Filing of related mould follow-up documents (mould progress, mould repair records, mould test reports, mould standards, etc.).
  • Cooperate to achieve quality objectives of department.
  • Cooperate with the proposal to promote improvement and apply for patent application.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must possess at least Diploma in mechanical, mould, automation & tooling.
  • With min 5 years of working experience in plastic mould design, plastic injection tooling.
  • Have 5 years of working experience in related field, familiar in mould design and mould structure, familiar in technical requirements of mould assembly, familiar in processing and technical skills.
  • Proficient in using UG for various complicated mould inquiry, able to perform simple drawings, proficient in various mould structure.
  • Proficient in mould design, familiar in material properties, injection processing, common injection defect of general plastics.
  • Familiar in using UG for mould 3D design and output of 2D drawings; familiar in using Autocad, familiar in various mould processing technology and methods.
  • Ability on mould fabrication, service and repair.
  • Require strong technical knowledge on plastic mould structure & fabrication.
  • Understand mould structure, operation and principle, improve the ability to handle problems and troubleshooting.
  • Familiar with correct use of mould spare parts.
